Cone Beam Computer Tomography
3D Imaging (CBCT)

Elite Endodontics incorporates state-of-the-art equipment, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), to achieve accurate diagnoses and perform minimally invasive root canal treatments. Learn more about the technology we used to elevate our standard of care so you can benefit from exceptional and successful endodontic treatment.

CBCT is an innovative imaging technique that provides endodontists with three-dimensional views of the patient’s teeth and surrounding structures. In certain cases, CBCT images greatly enhance the endodontist's ability to diagnose, evaluate, and treat their patients.

During a CBCT scan, the machine rotates around the patient’s head, capturing numerous images using a cone-shaped X-ray beam. These images are then used to construct a 3-D representation of the scanned oral and maxillofacial region helping the clinician visualize the area.

Watch the video below to learn more about how CBCTs help endodontists diagnosis and treat dental disease.

CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY

We’ve invested in the latest, proven technology because it’s what our patients deserve.

We are equipped with high end technology including CBCT (3d Imaging) machine, Microscope in every treatment room and Edge pro laser. We stay up to date so that you can trust you are getting the best treatment. Our 3d imaging enables us to diagnose the cause and determine the scope of dental infections with incredible accuracy, and then we can use the EdgePRO laser to deliver treatment that is fast, predictable, and highest quality of care. We’ve invested in the latest, proven technology because it’s what our patients deserve.

BENEFITS OF CBCT TECHNOLOGY

At Elite Endodontics, we use CBCT imaging to create 3D images of your jaw and tooth for better results. Here are some of the benefits of this process:

Enhanced Imaging Precision:

  1. Accurate Diagnosis: CBCT provides high-resolution 3D images, allowing for precise identification of root canal anatomy, abnormalities, and variations that may not be visible on traditional 2D radiographs.

  2. Improved Treatment Planning: With detailed imaging, dentists can better assess the number and shape of root canals, aiding in the development of comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique anatomy.

  3. Enhanced Treatment Outcome: CBCT helps dentists navigate complex root canal systems more effectively, reducing the risk of procedural errors and improving treatment success rates.

  4. Minimized Radiation Exposure: Our CBCT requires lower doses compared to medical CT scans, resulting in reduced radiation exposure for patients while still providing valuable diagnostic information.

Surgical Operating Microscope (SOM)
Precision at the Microscopic Level

The Surgical Operating Microscope (SOM) represents a pivotal advancement in the field of endodontics and dental surgery. This sophisticated piece of equipment magnifies the treatment area significantly, allowing endodontic specialists to achieve unparalleled precision and detail in their work. Here's an optimized brief on its significance and benefits:

At Elite Endodontics, our adoption of the Surgical Operating Microscope (SOM) underscores our commitment to delivering the highest standard of care. This state-of-the-art tool is integral to our practice, offering a host of advantages:

  • Enhanced Visualization: The SOM provides exceptional magnification and illumination of the treatment area, enabling our specialists to see intricate details within the tooth structure that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye.

  • Increased Precision: With the enhanced visibility offered by the microscope, procedures are performed with meticulous precision, significantly improving the outcome of treatments such as root canal therapy and other microsurgeries.

  • Minimally Invasive Approach: The accuracy afforded by the SOM allows for more conservative treatments, preserving more of the natural tooth structure and reducing the impact on surrounding tissues.

  • Improved Success Rates: The precision and clarity provided by the microscope contribute to higher success rates for endodontic treatments, ensuring long-lasting dental health.

  • Enhanced Patient Education: By integrating camera systems with the microscope, we can share images and videos of your dental condition and treatment, fostering a greater understanding of your oral health.
